Why didn't my product come up?
A barcode only works if that exact pack is already in our catalogue, or in Open Food Facts, where we look it up the moment you scan something we have not seen.
Plenty of Indian packs are in neither, especially regional brands and new launches. When that happens the app offers to read the printed label instead, which works on any pack at all.
Photographing a pack we do not hold also adds it, so the next person who scans it gets an answer straight away.

बहुत से भारतीय पैक दोनों जगह नहीं होते, ख़ासकर क्षेत्रीय ब्रांड और नए प्रोडक्ट। ऐसे में ऐप छपे हुए लेबल को पढ़ने का विकल्प देता है, जो हर पैक पर काम करता है।
जो पैक हमारे पास नहीं है, उसकी फ़ोटो लेने से वह जुड़ भी जाता है - तो अगली बार किसी और को जवाब तुरंत मिलेगा।
