Zabel · Delete your account
Delete your Zabel account.
You do it in the Zabel app, in four taps. It takes effect at once and cannot be undone.
1. Steps
- Open the Zabel app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the You tab.
- Tap Privacy and your data.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete my account.
The app signs you out once the account is gone. If you never signed in there is no account to delete: Clear local data on the same screen removes everything Zabel kept on your phone.
2. What is deleted, straight away
- Your account: your name, email address and Google sign-in.
- Every sign-in on every phone.
- Your scan history and saved packs, on our servers and on the phone you deleted from.
- Profiles stored with the account, and the health profile on the phone.
- Your Plus credit.
3. What is kept, without your name on it
These stay, but they are no longer linked to you or to any account.
- Label photographs you uploaded: kept until 90 days after upload, then deleted automatically.
- Products you added and the label details read from them: kept in the catalogue so the next person who scans that pack gets an answer. Your name comes off them.
- Scan records, problem reports and messages you sent us: kept with no account attached, so a fault report still means something after you have gone.
- Notifications: the phone's notification address and the packs it asked to hear about belong to the phone, not the account. They stop when you turn notifications off in the app or uninstall it.
- Your agreement to our terms: kept as a record that a device agreed on a date, with the account taken off it.
The rest is in the privacy policy.
