What do the red marks mean?
FSSAI has proposed red marks for packs high in sugar, salt or saturated fat. We compute them from the thresholds in that proposal.
The rule is not yet notified, so no pack in a shop carries them today. What the app shows is the mark this pack would carry if it were.
A mark also caps the word beside the score: one warning cannot be called better than fair, two cannot be called better than poor. The number itself is untouched.
लाल निशानों का क्या मतलब है?
FSSAI ने प्रस्ताव रखा है कि जिन पैक में चीनी, नमक या सैचुरेटेड फ़ैट ज़्यादा है, उन पर लाल निशान लगें। हम उसी प्रस्ताव की सीमाओं से ये निशान निकालते हैं।
यह नियम अभी अधिसूचित नहीं हुआ है, इसलिए दुकान में किसी पैक पर ये निशान नहीं हैं। ऐप वह निशान दिखाता है जो नियम लागू होने पर इस पैक पर होता।
निशान स्कोर के साथ लिखे शब्द की सीमा भी तय करता है: एक चेतावनी हो तो "ठीक" से ऊपर नहीं, दो हों तो "ख़राब" से ऊपर नहीं। संख्या ख़ुद नहीं बदलती।
